Disagree with a Millennial, but be nice.
This is an experiment.
If you find this, hi, I'm a millennial with opinions. You are free to disagree with me, but be nice :) We're all kind humans here, aren't we?
I have written blogs in the past. About 7 years ago, I stopped because I wasn't into it anymore. I didn't have anything to say, and there was no point in dragging something out if I no longer felt enjoyment either.
I am 31 (as of 2024 and it's months before my 32nd birthday).
I have opinions now. I want to share them, but I don't know if I want to make a video or what.
So, we're here.
Here's some stuff about me.
I'm a writer of around 15 years. YA Fantasy, mostly. Sometimes dark fantasy, sometimes I attempt comedy fantasy. Sometimes, I try to not write fantasy and fail miserably. It's engrained into my brain to write fantasy.
Do I have a book out? Not yet. Maybe when you see this blog, I will. I plan on making one this year (2024). My debut. It'll be great. YA portal fantasy "Between Roses" summarized nicely by my beta reader as, "supporting character of Mean Girls gets Aliced in Wonderlanded".
I live in Japan, but I have an American mom and speak and write fluent English. I do not need AI to help me out. Well, maybe I do sometimes need help with grammar (not from AI certainly) but for the most part, I can write on my own.
I also use Procreate to illustrate. Not professionally. Just for fun.
I have an IG account as an illustrator and a writer, but I'm not connecting them here because this space is not about those sides of me. This space is about me as the blogger, the essayist? no, no, I won't call myself that. I'm not that professional in this.
I'm a millennial with opinions.
I'm also a female ace person with mainly liberal thoughts but in no way extreme and have swaying ideas and beliefs when it comes to religion but respect every kind of human being (unless they are just so unbelievably problematic).
If knowing any of that makes any difference to you, well, hi. I'll do me, you do you. No hard feelings. Good vibes :)
I watch a lot of video essays and commentary on society. I like Khadija Mbowe and Mina Le and Tiffany Ferg, and many others. Not saying I automatically agree with every word they say, but I like listening to their opinions.
So, now that you know a bit about me, decide for yourself if you want to stick around and see if I'd be of interest to you :)
Also, you can disagree with me on things, but be nice. Thanks.
